Tips To Consider In Picking Wedding Tiaras

By Richard Barker

Looking at history, tiaras go as far back during the time of ancient Egypt where they adorned the heads of the royal mummies. Meanwhile in ancient Persia the king tied his tiara around his head to make it stand straight. Obviously, tiaras and crowns were chosen to portray someone special or an individual of authority and throughout time, it has developed into different patterns and uses.

The popularity of the wedding tiaras fluctuated over the years until 1981 when there was a sudden surge. On that special day, Princess Diana wore the Spencer family diamond tiara to hold her veil during her marriage to Prince Charles and no one can deny that it made a gorgeous head gear! From then on, almost all brides-to-be wanted to add wedding tiaras to their wardrobe.

There is no doubt that the wedding tiaras can bring about that magical, elegant and sophisticated effect on anyone who wears it. There is still some aspect that a future bride should consider to make their tiara more personal as there are lots of options to choose from in the market.

First to consider is the design, style and colour of the wedding gown. For instance, if your gown is ivory or off white or with pearls on it then choosing a wedding tiara with clear crystals or pearls in gold tone will definitely match. Alternatively, if the gown is white (usually called as diamond white), a wedding tiara in silver or gold tone with rhinestones is a perfect combination. Meanwhile, if the wedding gown has a pattern then the wedding tiara to be chosen should have similar detailing to harmonize it. Finally, never combine white accessories with an off white wedding gown as it will appear off colour and obviously a mismatch.

Next will be the hair style. You can't wear a wedding tiara by donning a pony tail. Have the hair designed in a manner in which it will go with the preferred wedding tiara. With regard to the bride that has short hair, a delicate as well as petite tiara is practical because it will never demand lots of pinning. Much better a headband design headpiece can certainly be a good option.

For bride that has short hair, a delicate and petite tiara is advisable as it will not need lots of pinning. Better yet a headband style headpiece can be a good alternative. Not to be left out are the accessories of the bridesmaids. A smaller or simpler version of the bride's tiara for the wedding entourage will give a coordinated look and complete the theme of the bride's ensemble.

You must remember wedding tiaras should complement the bride's wedding gown. It must not outshine one from the other but should create a perfect balance to make the bride appear like a real princess as she walks down the aisle into the arms of her handsome prince.
